A wedding at Nukubati Private Island is truly an unforgettable experience, and we will be pleased to arrange your memorable legal Fiji wedding ceremony. Weddings are usually held at sunset on the beach or any one of a number or romantic locations on the island. Two Fijian warriors escort the bride to the groom; you also have the option of being transported by a Fijian wedding raft decorated with flowers. The warriors gently sail you to your waiting groom. A magical fairytale come true!
The ceremony can be conducted by a civil celebrant or our local church minister, Father Charlie, and accompanied by a Fijian village church choir or the very popular Nukubati Serenaders. You may even choose to buy or hire traditional Fijian Wedding Costumes.
You will need to allow 3 working days at Nukubati prior to your wedding to obtain the marriage licence. One of our staff will take you to the Fijian Registrar of Marriage office in the nearby town of Labasa to sign the relevant papers. To obtain the marriage licence, Passports, Birth Certificates and Certificates of Single Status are required, and, in the case of a second marriage, either a Decree Nisi or Death Certificate as applicable. It is required that both parties be over 21 years of age, if not, then the respective fathers must be present to sign the consent document.
Please see the RATES page on this website for full details and costings for a wedding in paradise.
